Privacy policy

This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect and what we do with it. We keep this deliberately small because we collect deliberately little.

What we collect

• Business submissions. The business details you enter, plus your name and email as the submitter.
• Claims. Your name, email, optional phone number, your role at the business and your message.
• Contact messages. Your name, email, subject and message.
• Accounts. If you have an administrator account, your email address and authentication records.

What is public and what is not

Only approved business listings are public: the business name, description, categories, town and the contact details provided for that business. Your submitter name and email, claim details and contact messages are private and visible only to site administrators.

How we use it

To review and publish listings, to verify claims, to reply to you, and to correct inaccurate entries. We do not sell your information, we do not sell leads, and we do not share submissions with third-party marketers.

Storage and security

Data is stored in our hosted database with row-level access rules so that private submissions, claims and messages can only be read by authenticated administrators. Passwords are managed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.

Retention

Approved listings remain until the business or an administrator removes them. Rejected submissions, resolved claims and contact messages are kept while they are useful for moderation history and are deleted on request.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep an administrator signed in. There is no advertising tracking on this site.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete anything you have sent us, or to remove a listing you submitted. Contact us and we will act on it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
